Rev. David P. Ballenger
Rev. Ballenger was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri. He accepted Christ as his Savior as a young boy, attending Second Baptist Church of Columbia.He attended the Columbia Public Schools, Northeast Missouri State University (Truman State), Moody Bible College, and Western Baptist Bible College.
In 1968, he married Ms. Sandra K. Williams, and they have a son, Kelley (and Giselle) Ballenger, and a daughter, Andrea (and Marco) Tapia.The Ballengers are now the proud grandparents of 7 boys!
Pastor Ballenger became the pastor of Log Providence in 1984, and has worked diligently and lovingly in leading God's people into a closer relationship with God.
Pastor Ballenger has also been very involved with his community, serving on the Columbia School Board for the past 8 years (as President for 2 years), and is a member of the University of Missouri Children's Hospital Board, and the Columbia Regional Hospital Board of Directors.
Pastor Ballenger retired from the IBM Corporation after 30 years of service, and then went on to be a realtor with House of Brokers, using his knowledge and experience to help church members and members of the community in securing good housing, and guiding them through the maze of real estate transactions.
The members of Log Providence feel very blessed to have Rev. Ballenger as our Pastor and friend. Pastor David Ballenger and Sister Sandra Ballenger have now been with us for 35 years of dedicated service. Hallelujah!
